Formed millions of years ago inside Lookout Mountain, this 145-foot underground cascade is located more than 1,120 feet beneath the surface. It was accidentally uncovered by chemist-explorer Leo Lambert during the drilling of an elevator shaft in 1928. He named it in honor of his wife, Ruby. It is the tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States.
