Entering the Marine Corps in 1964, this helicopter became a symbol of Vietnam. It was used for troop transport, medevac, and gunship missions. It earned distinction 
with the Navy’s first attack helicopter squadron, HAL-3, supporting patrol boats in the Mekong Delta. Beyond combat, it served in polar expeditions and pilot training.
